Congratulations Boys U12 - 2009 State Cup Champions!

The Maumee Express Soccer program is a competitive soccer league for boys & girls of all communities starting at age 8 thru High School.

Express teams compete with other community leagues and in regional tournaments. Try-outs are conducted annually and players are selected by skill and ability level.

Licensed coaches teach soccer foot skills and teamwork.  Express or travel soccer challenges the young player  and stresses competition as well as good sportsmanship.

What is Competitive Soccer?
Competitive Soccer is a higher level of competition as compared to recreation leagues.  You play teams from other communities (i.e.; Toledo, Sylvania, Perrysburg, Findlay).  Most teams practice twice a week, compete in 1 to 2 games per weekend and attend 1 to 2 regional tournaments a season.

What is the Cost?
Costs will depend on the number of players on the team, tournaments attended and uniforms.  Teams having a parent volunteer coach will have lower costs.  Usually fees will range between $75.00 to $250.00 per season.  Financial Aid scholarships are available.

What if I think I am not good enough to play?
The only way to find out is to try out.  You may find that you are bored with recreational soccer and want to play on a travel team with more skill and competition.

Will playing Competitive Soccer improve my level of play?
First, by playing higher-level teams, your skill will increase because of greater challenges.  Second, most coaches are licensed and have attended training to help you learn more and improve your level of play.
